All cc abilities are functional and useful in some capacity, even wire pull. Every inch is designed for team play, there are actual reasons to have race diversity in your party. Adds are reasonable or manageable using strategies. The bosses are engaging, but never invulnerable.
The enemies feel unique and make you care. I want a Baby Crom, and a Iron man mode Crom, and a stealth Crom, a musical Crom, a head to head racing Crom, etc. I want a 5 minute Crom, a 10 min Crom, and a 20 min Crom. Also the rewards are shit tier in respect to difficulty.Ĭrom Bas is perfect in every way except time investment needed to clear (and drop rates, but at least we have a pity system). Baby Theta would be amazing future content. Most players will never experience it, and that's a shame. Theta is probably the single greatest opportunity for skill expression, but the requirements to pass are far too high. It may have been more successful if control actually changed from controlling the player character to controlling the pet between rooms. It's not as engaging even if it's is actually asking for more engagement. Attacking with your pet doesn't feel the same. Mag Mell fails because many players don't share the same affinity for their pets/pet combat as they do with the player character. Techs are so close but have harsh DPS mechanics that cannot be bypassed with clever strategy or tactics, and bosses with i-frames and infinite adds. Veteran dungeons hit a sweet spot in difficulty, but fail due to a lack of boss mechanics and rewards. Players hate Musical Math because it is too engaging. Sidhe Finnachaid comes close but fails due to walking distance between phases which makes it feel long, and the boss has i-frames.
